When We Worship the Lord by Name
Today’s Bible Study January 2, 2012
“At that time people first began to worship the Lord by name” (Gen 4:26).
Both January 1 and January 2 readings are covered in this video, since January 1 fell on a weekend and we are just beginning the study this year. Today’s lesson is a two-part video. The first video is a class introduction and Jan 1 lesson, and the second covers Jan 2.

In your journals, you can make notes regarding the lesson below.
To Find (look for):
What do these passages teach us about what God is like?
What are two tactics the devil used to tempt Eve?
Who named Eve, and when was she given that name?
To whom did God give the command not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil?
To Mind (key point): Just like when God created the world from void and chaos, today, He creates something new in our lives everyday. Everyone who belongs to Christ has been given a new nature; the old life is gone, and a new life has begun (2 Corinthians 5:17).
To Bind (apply to your life): During your lifetime, will it be said that you worshipped the Lord (and knew Him with such familiarity that you call on Him) by name?
