What’s In A Name

Today’s Bible Study “I built this Temple to honor the name of the Lord” (I Chronicles 6:10).

  Solomon’s Temple:

  At the opening of the Temple, Solomon gathered all the elders and publicly offered a prayer of dedication. This prayer included praise, petition and prophecy. He prayed for his family, his people, and even us!

  The Temple is a place where God’s Name would dwell, where his presence and character would be evident to the world. God desires for his people to give him glory and invites us to “walk in” His Name as we live out our lives on earth. Are you walking in the Name of the Lord, reflecting His character, upholding His reputation, representing His Name?
