The Wisdom of God

Scripture Highlight: November 18 “Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise” (1 Corinthians 3:18).

The message of the cross is foolishness to an unbeliever. Fundamentally, all persons need a renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2). This gift is available to believers in Christ and is necessary to live out a Spirit-led life.

  Self-renunciation, that is, obedience to God, rather than self-preservation may be difficult in this life, but ultimately leads to eternal life and exaltation.
