The Spirit That Gives Life

Today’s Scripture: August 31

“So I spoke the message as he commanded me and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life” (Ezekiel 37:10).

Ezekiel’s image of the dry bones depicts the spiritual condition of the people. Without God’s Holy Spirit living in them, they were spiritually dead.

God breathes life into us by giving us His own Spirit, bringing spiritual life to our own spirit. Once we trust the work of Jesus’ death for us on the cross, who died for our sins, God gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit, empowering us with living power to lead a victorious life. Receive Christ into your heart. In Him, dry bones come to life!
