The Paradox of the Kingdom

Today’s Scripture: October 21 “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven” (Luke 15:20).

  The Scriptures about the rich young man teach that wealth can be a hindrance to the most important of life issues. Having riches isn’t a wrong; it’s trusting in them over God that’s a problem. In the Kingdom of God there are many paradoxes; this story teaches that when we give money away, we’ll have all we need.
