The Main Point
Today’s Bible Study May 24, 2012
“Then people all over the earth will know that the Lord alone is God and there is no other” (I Kings 8:60).
To Find (look for):
How does God feel about the Temple (1 Kings 9:3)?
What does God promise to people who pray, seek Him and repent (2 Chronicles 7:14)?
To Mind (key point): In today’s reading, Solomon gives a beautiful blessing, praising God and sums up in a word picture the whole plan of God since the beginning of time: that people all over the earth would know the Lord alone is God and there is no other.
To Bind (apply to our lives): The key in today’s verse is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people will humble themselves and pray… I will hear them, forgive them and heal their land.” A prophetic utterance for sure, as we will see come to pass in our readings in the days ahead.
