The Main Point

Today’s Scripture “Then people all over the earth will know that the Lord alone is God and there is no other” (I Kings 8:60).

  In today’s reading, Solomon gives a beautiful blessing, praising God and sums up in a word picture the whole plan of God since the beginning of time: that people all over the earth would know the Lord alone is God and there is no other.

  The key in today’s verse is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people will humble themselves and pray… I will hear them, forgive them and heal their land.” A prophetic utterance for sure, as we will see come to pass in our readings in the days ahead.
