The Inheritance of Salvation
Today’s Bible Study December 17, 2012
“If we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ” (Hebrews 3:14).
To Mind (key point): Unbelief is the reason the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for forty years. The invitation to enter into God’s rest – a land of blessings and plenty – would wait to be inherited by the next generation. The same invitation to enter into God’s rest is extended to us today, too, with the same promise and the same requirement.
To Bind (apply to our lives): The book of Hebrews offers us many practical warnings to stay true to Christ, remain faithful and stand firm until the end. When you hear God’s voice speaking to you, will you harden your hearts and turn away, or will you draw near and willingly and lovingly obey? Trust Him through all things for He is One Worthy of your confidence.
