The Genesis of Living Well

Today’s Scripture “It is the blood given for a life that makes purification possible” (Leviticus 17:11).

  This lesson sets the stage for how we are to live as a holy “set apart” people. This call goes to everyone, not just the Israelite priests. Our motivation for living this way must come out of a personal relationship with God.

  We aren’t likely to do the will of God without a strong heart-desire to do so. We can begin to what we should before we like doing it. Love is an action; not a feeling. As we pursue holiness in our lives, our inward motivations (why we do it) is as important to God as our outward actions (what we do).
