The Birth of Jesus

Today’s Scripture: September 25 “Because Joseph was a descendent of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. … And while they were there, the time came for Mary’s baby to be born. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger” (Luke 2:4,6).
Today we read a familiar story for most of us – the birth of Jesus. A great miracle and mystery is it that God desired to become man to perform a work for us that we could not do ourselves – to save us from our sins and provide the way for us to inherit eternal life with God.
