Scale Your Wall

Today’s Scripture “In your strength I can crush an army, with my God I can scale any wall” (2 Samuel 22:30).

  Today, we get time out to focus on a Psalm. Psalm 18 is known as “David’s grand tribute of thanksgiving from deliverance from his enemies.”

  Yahweh is the only figure of Israel’s praise; and praise is an important part of Israel’s worship. A lamp lighting the darkness and a Rock, on whose strength we can depend, are familiar metaphors in their songs. Today’s lesson reminds us of the importance to stop what we’re doing and purposefully give God praise. He has shown us his “hesed,” his lovingkindness.
