How to Repent

Today’s Bible Study June 27, 2012

“Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.” (Hosea 14:2).

To Find (look for):

  1. How does God feel about having to give Israel up for exile (Hosea 11:8)?

  2. Where also in Scripture do we see, “I called my son out of Egypt?”(Hosea 1:1)?

To Mind (key point): In the 14th chapter of Hosea, we see a model prayer of repentance, which Israel is encouraged to pray (Hosea 14:2-3). Immediately following this passage, God responds in acceptance (Hosea 14:4).

To Bind (apply to our lives): Is there something in your life that you need to confess? Pray this prayer and the Lord will surely forgive you, his anger will be gone forever (Hosea 14:4).
