How to Apply Truth
Today’s Bible Study June 1, 2012
“To acquire wisdom is to love oneself; people who cherish understanding will prosper” (Proverbs 19:8).
To Find (look for):
What does this Proverb say about the treatment of Jesus before his crucifixion (Prov 17:26)?
Who really becomes indebted to us when we help the poor (Prov 19:17)?
To Mind (key point): There is a marked different between human wisdom and God’s wisdom. God’s wisdom gives us the ability to apply truth to life. A wise person will ask God for it and pursue the understanding of it for a lifetime.
To Bind (apply to our lives): Wisdom comes when we understand the mind of God. We must learn to think like God does, and in doing so, we help ourselves to be successful. Which Proverb is your favorite? Mediate on it today and learn to think like God thinks.
