“I am the First and the Last; there is no other God” (Isaiah 44:6).
To Mind (key point): Today we read four proclamations: one of returning home, one of coming power, one of a fallen kingdom and one of an everlasting God!
To Bind (apply to our lives): When God says He is the First and the Last, it means he is Rishon Va-Acharon. This is the Hebrew name, which means he is bigger, greater, and beyond everything else that exists. Infinite, without limits, he is not limited by space or time or any bounds. He is excellent and exceedingly perfect. Boy, what a name!
