Today’s Scripture “Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness” (Genesis 1:3-4).

Today we discover 5 life principles from the first chapters in Genesis of the creation story … principles that will help us understand God, ourselves and our relationship with Him.

  • God is founder, creator and sustainer of life.

  • There is a difference between the common and holy.

  • The nature of being human is to possess the responsibility of choice.

  • The only suitable payment for sin is the shedding of blood.

  • God is a redeeming God who desires fellowship with you and me.

  •   God desires to bless; however, our choices can prevent Him from doing so. The nature of being human is to choose life or death, good or evil… and to reap the consequences of blessing or curse.

  •   This year, let’s make the choice to turn away from sin and pursue a loving relationship with our Creator God. Our God wants nothing more than personal, daily fellowship with us. How will you respond?
