Common Problems in the Christian Walk
Today’s Bible Study May 10, 2012
“Don’t worry about evil people who prosper” (Psalm 37.7b).
To Find (look for):
Have you ever felt frustration over God’s apparent delay in acting (Psalm 35.17)?
To Mind (key point): These Psalms help us identify with common problems we encounter in our Christian walk: the problem we have in dealing with revilers, the problems we have with un-confronted sin and the frustrations we feel when seeing the Godless prosper.
To Bind (apply to our lives): Psalm 35 paints a stark contrast between the way the Godless deal with their enemies verses the Christian’s response to them. Psalm 36 contrasts the sinner, Savior, and saint. Psalm 37 helps us understand a paradox that the meek will inherit the earth; and Psalm 38 gives us insight into sufferings, separation and supplication that come from the problems of sin.
