An Unlikely Protector

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
To Find (look for):
How old was Moses when he died (Deut 34:7)?
This time, did the spies report they could or could not take the land (Joshua 2:24)?
To Mind (key point): Don’t you just love the call to faith in Joshua 1:9? Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is with you wherever you go! That promise was given to Joshua as he took over for Moses and led the people into battle taking their Promised Land. That same promise is true for us today as well.
To Bind (apply to our lives): While the promise is true that God is with us, many times in our lives we feel unsure in our decisions, we wonder what is coming next in life and are uncomfortable without answers. We want to know how things will turn out. But God calls us to a life of faith, and today we are reminded that Christians live on promises, not explanations. God often times does not tell us all the details of our circumstances because He wants us to fully depend on Him in whatever we are going through. God’s made a promise to you in His Word that corresponds to whatever you’re facing today. When you don’t have all the answers, be strong and courageous for the Lord your God is with you (ensuring your victory) wherever you go!
