A Righteous Branch

Today’s Scripture

“The time is coming, says the Lord, when I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land” (Jeremiah 23:5).


 

Jeremiah 23 contains Scripture referring to a righteous branch, a descendent that will be born from the line of David, who will be king who rules with wisdom and brings peace and safety to all who live in the land. This man is Jesus and these verses refer to a time coming when He will rule and reign as King of Kings from the city of Jerusalem.

Are you expectantly anticipating the Second Coming when Jesus establishes his rule and reign over all things?
