A House Who Finds a Home

“There were 70 members of Jacob’s family in Egypt” (Gen 46:27).

To Find (look for):

  1. What did Pharaoh tell Joseph he could give to his family?

  2. Which man is asking for directions to Goshen?

To Mind (key point): As Jacob enters the land of Egypt, he offers sacrifice before going in either to ally his fears of the future or as a sacrifice of praise for all God had done in the past. God responded with confirmation.

To Bind (apply to our lives): God inhabits our praises. Whenever we have a tough time hearing the voice of God, we can lift up praise and thanksgiving. Instead of focusing on fear, this day, choose to remember all that God has already done and shout-out a sacrifice of praise. He will surely inhabit those praises (Ps 22:3).
