Today’s Scripture “There were 70 members of Jacob’s family in Egypt” (Gen 46:27).
Notes As Jacob enters the land of Egypt, he offers a sacrifice before entering the land – either to ally his fears of the future or as a sacrifice of praise for all God had done in the past. God responded with confirmation.
God inhabits our praises. Whenever we have a tough time hearing the voice of God, we can lift up praise and thanksgiving. Instead of focusing on fear, this day, choose to remember all that God has already done and shout-out a sacrifice of praise. He will surely inhabit those praises (Ps 22:3).
